— Auburn University’s nursing home in Bellelevue, Wash., will be transformed into a new nursing home.
The new facility will be built in a historic building that is the site of the Bellevues historic city, located on the shores of Lake Washington.
The project will provide a new environment for a growing community, including a nursing home with a community meeting room, a meeting room and the new kitchen and dining areas.
The nursing home will provide full-time care for people living with HIV, AIDS, Hepatitis C, Parkinson’s disease, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis and multiple sclerosis.
It will also provide care for children with special needs.
The $3.4 million project is one of several planned by the University of Washington in partnership with the Washington State Department of Social and Health Services.
